Kavyas of MÄgha are as pre-eminent as
Campaka among flowers, Lanka among cities,
Ganga among rives, Rama among Kings
Rambha among women and Vishnu among the men!
Such a poet was celebrated by The Kuppuswami Sastri Research Institute (KSRI), in collaboration with The Samskrita Academy, Madras, through Other Poetsā Day, dedicated to the mahÄkavi MÄgha. The event was sponsored by the Smt. Rajam Ramaswamy Endowment and the Smt. Balambal Memorial Endowment.
