The Lord, though endowed with magnificent powers that bestows manifold fruits to his devotees, is himself clad only in an elephant-hide; though his body is united with his beloved (Pārvatī). He is yet the foremost of the ascetics, whose mind is unaffected by the sense-objects (of desire); though He supports the entire universe with His eight forms, He is yet devoid of pride (or arrogance). Let (that) Lord Śiva dispel your tendency of tamas (darkness, ignorance) to behold the righteous path.
